Ria Reitz - Ceramics and Juwelry
My ceramic art consists of unique figurative and abstract objects, candle objects, wall decoration, juwelry. The objects are inspired by people (vocalists, dancers, monks etc.), animals (horses, cows, chicken, birds etc.), landscapes, music and journeys.
My jewelry like pendants, necklaces, brooches, bracelets, rings and earrings/clips I often have painted with real gold and/or platin. This juwelry has been fired three times. My beads are mostly hollow and not heavy. In each unique necklace are own beads together with beads from other materials. Self made beads are for sale by the piece as well.
Taught by Dutch, English and German artists.
The tallest ceramic objects are about 40 cm. The clay is fired at 1200° C (mostly stoneware). I participated in several expositions and art events.
The exhibition in my small studio in the south of the Netherlands has no regular opening hours. It is better to phone or contact me, before you want to come and see it.
